I have maintained a private counseling practice for over 30 years. I work with individual, relationship and family issues. Cognitive behavioral strategies are utilized for skills training such as anger management, stress reduction, communication skills, and emotional regulation. Couples counseling and stepfamilies are areas of special interest. Theoretical perspectives in these areas include interpersonal relations concepts such as object relations theory and relational psychodynamics. Individual counseling focusing on depression, mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, substance use, and personality concerns tend to be approached from a psychodynamic psychotherapy perspective.
