My parents instilled a core value in me at an early age, which was the only true wealth you have in the world is the investment in other people. It put a genuine drive in me to engage with other people and eventually become a counselor. This career has been so rewarding. I love seeing people functioning at their full potential. Both modes of treatment are in my opinion much more effective for trauma than traditional talk therapy. Also trauma is relative. What is traumatic for one person may not affect another in the same way.
