About
In 1979, I graduated from FIU’s Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Once completed, I was hired at FIU’s Counseling Department where I worked as a clinician for 10 years. This unique experience gave me a deeper understanding of students’ multiple academic struggles as well as an understanding of the pathology that tends to emerge in early adulthood. For the next 22 years, I transitioned into M-DCPS where I worked with ESE students diagnosed with behavioral/psychiatric disorders. Now, semi-retired and in private practice, with 46 years of clinical experience; I’m focused on families, couples and individual therapy. View 4 Photos The therapeutic process can seem daunting. Making the decision to attend therapy is the first step in healing. Finding a therapist that can offer the services that give you the comfort and confidence that you need, is basic. Search for this person focused on your individual needs. You may not understand techniques in counseling but you’ll feel the empathy.
