English | español For the majority of my career, I have worked with adolescents and young adults who've experienced complex trauma (including abuse, traumatic loss, chronic exposure to violence), adversity related to their immigration journey, involvement in the criminal justice system, and struggles related to their identity, gender, and/or sexual orientation. I have worked with individuals in an agency setting or school setting for the extent of my career and began my private practice 4 years ago. My clients who have had the most success in any setting are those who felt ready to do the work and who attended sessions consistently when possible. My specialty is in EMDR Therapy but I also use a lot of Internal Family Systems Therapy. The techniques I use allow for healing and growth to begin even when an individual is not ready to fully verbalize what they're going through because so much of the important work happens within their internal world and I'm just guiding the process.
