Hello! I'm Samantha, First, I want to congratulate you on taking a very difficult first step, one many people may never take. Your first therapy session can feel overwhelming, exciting, scary and many other emotions but I am here to ensure through it all you feel safe! In my years as a therapist, I have worked with clients seeking education, clarity and comfort related to their mental health symptoms. While in session with me, I will ensure that you feel empowered, heard and challenged. I want you to feel as though I am your teammate in this journey you are embarking on to improve your quality of life. In our first session together, we will set expectations for therapy (from me and from you), get to know each other, dive deeper into your motivators for therapy and create some treatment goals together. Our first session will usually end with some small homework assignment as this allows your session to continue through your week.
