Are you looking for non-traditional therapeutic support? I am a Clinical Social Worker certified in the EAGALA model of Equine Psychotherapy. This model is about horses helping people, and anything you can work on in other therapies you can work on with EAGALA. I practice out of Stage Road Farm in Guilford, Vermont, where we take a team approach to supporting your mental health. Our team includes a Mental Health Professional (me), an Equine Specialist, and of course our four legged partners. Horses are highly intelligent and emotional and your interactions with them become a catalyst for conversation between you and your therapist. Horses are much like us- they are social animals with defined roles within their herds, and they are highly attuned to non-verbal messages and body language.
