Have you seen a therapist who just did not understand the 'unspoken'? Do you wish you talked to someone who just understood your culture? I believe that a lot of healing can happen speaking to someone who understands or is knowledgeable of your cultural background without having to explain it to them. That is why I am passionate about working with immigrants, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ community members and multicultural populations, being a queer Asian immigrant myself. I especially believe in providing support for these populations as they are often systematically underserved and overlooked in behavioral health and healthcare.
