My clients range in age from young adults to individuals in middle age. Most seek therapy when overwhelmed by a personal life challenge. Many aspects of their lives may be going smoothly, but they struggle in other areas: could be the academic rigors of grad school, a complicated relationship with a romantic partner, how to handle work stress or parenting challenges. Whatever the reason, my clients hope for a therapist who creates a safe space for them to talk openly about their struggles, someone to help them gain new perspectives and to partner with them to help alleviate the emotional pain caused by their difficulties.
