My name is Sarah Melendez, and I have been in the helping profession since I was 13 years old. At that age, I used to gather children from the neighborhood to help them with their homework and bible studies. When I entered college, I realized that helping people is what I really wanted to do. I completed my bachelor’s degree in human services and my master’s degree in clinical social work. I have 35 years working in the helping procession, even before I when to college and being a bilingual therapist, English and Spanish benefit the therapeutic relationship to get a greater understanding.
