I’ve been told many times that I’m not like other therapists, I’m a DBT therapist! If you’re going to cry, I’d rather you do it here. As the founder of Emergence Health & Wellness, my professional work currently focuses on the removal of barriers to treatment for ALL, regardless of identity, including college students, first responders, the formerly incarcerated, trade workers, and individuals in recovery. My typical sessions include validation of your experiences and emotions, working to achieve acceptance and change in your daily life and finally a dash of sarcasm and irreverence to lighten the mood and help the medicine go down. I have facilitated groups focusing on DBT Skills, Men’s Intimacy, Women’s Issues, Sexuality, and Recovery Skills.
