Trauma, fear, anxiety, shame, and self- limiting beliefs keep us stuck in old, self-protective patterns that no longer serve us. Treatment starts with exploring what you would want for yourself from doing this work. This desire guides the process. We identify and explore what gets in the way of what you want for yourself. Often times it is strategies we developed during childhood to navigate family relationships, emotions we shut down because they overwhelmed us, negative beliefs we have about ourselves, or ways we disconnect from intimate connection.
