I help those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, stress, overwhelm or are feeling like their life is out-of-control. I specialize in trauma, which is any distressing or disturbing event that overwhelms your ability to cope, causes feelings of helplessness, diminishes your sense of self and/or your ability to feel the full range of emotions and experiences. I frequently work with first responders and others who have high stress jobs and who experience trauma in their everyday life. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience and have a Master's degree in family counseling. I specialize in Trauma Focused Cognitve Behavior Therapy (TFCBT) and am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). These therapies help clients process difficult events such as trauma, abuse, divorce, or loss.
