You might not realize it yet but you know yourself better than anyone else. What I have found in my personal and professional experience is that the more connected and compassionate we are with ourselves, the more connected and compassionate we are to our surroundings. I am a Brown, queer, gender non-conforming, immigrant, psychotherapist. I practice from an anti-oppressive lens that acknowledges the impact of the many systems we navigate under everyday. Naming the impact along with an exploration of the self, can lead us to a deeper understanding of ourselves and our humanity.
