In order to promote positive growth, I prefer to utilize a CBT based approach to address and analyze thought patterns and behavioral tendencies. Assessing cognitive thought processes allows for exploration of maladaptive behaviors and other life stressors that may be serving as barriers to adequate person-in-environment functioning. Addressing these barriers promotes active involvement and accumulation of therapeutic tools to be implemented both during and following the completion of treatment.
