The clients I have experienced often have had some not so great experiences with therapy in the past and have their guard up. They are looking to be listened to and to work on the goals they identify as important to them, they ultimately want someone they can trust and feel safe/comfortable with. The clients that I have worked with have a variety of issues they bring into services including anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting issues, relationship issues, communication struggles, ADHD, issues at school, self-harm and SI. They want to learn the tools to address their struggles in a realistic and achievable way.
