I worked in community mental health for over 10 years and have been in private practice for the last 12 years. In the 22 years I have worked in the mental health field I have found that we all struggle at times and benefit from the support of others. I have a great deal of experience in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, crisis, life-transitions, stress-related disorders and vocational counseling. I work with each individual to develop a goal plan that is person-centered and based on their strengths and abilities. I assist clients in looking at thoughts and behaviors that have not been working and aid them in developing new, more effective skills. I provide the support and positive regard that is imperative to a productive therapeutic relationship. As a result, positive change is possible.
