Hi, I am a psychotherapist with 20+ years of experience in the mental health field. For the past 10+ years, I have specialized in working with trauma survivors with diverse backgrounds, including gender identity, age, racial/ethnicity, and sexual orientation. I have been trained in various treatment modalities, including CBT, DBT, Sandtray therapy modality, play therapy, EMDR, Crisis Intervention, and recently Somatic Experiencing. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, my works focus on helping clients overcome past trauma by establishing a sense of safety within the body, emotional regulation, and nervous system stabilization. The foundation for helping my clients is a safe therapeutic connection and space. As a somatic-based therapist, I recognize that trauma is not merely an event but what the individual holds inside due to the traumatic event.
