Emerson wrote, "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." This quote resonates with me because although people have endured very painful events in their lives and may face difficult days ahead, the strength of the human spirit never ceases to amaze me with its resiliency. When people enter into treatment, I consider it a privilege to help them through difficult times in their lives. Whether the problem is a personal, marital, or parenting difficulty, I meet them where they are at and work alongside them to increase awareness, personal empowerment, and life satisfaction.
