I consult men, women who have relationships with them, and couples experiencing a wide variety of concerns: from communication impasses and mismatched sexual desire, to chronic and intense conflict, difficulties with managing extended family, and betrayal of trust. I see both newer and long-term couples where partners feel let down and disappointed in their expectations and struggle to feel excited or even hopeful for their future together. Sometimes couple problems are obvious and specific, and other times there are vague and often unconscious disturbances that are articulated, grasped and mastered with the therapist's help.
