I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in both Alaska and Oregon. I have a master's degree in counseling psychology from Pacific University in Oregon in 2007 and have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. Using a trauma informed framework, I believe in the intrinsic ability for each individual to heal, find their own path, and create a life of meaning. It is possible to go from merely surviving and coping day to day, to truly thrive. Generational healing, changing patterns and post traumatic growth is attainable and I have witnessed these many times over. I have additional training and use other modalities such as expressive arts, DBT, polyvagal, parts work and incorporate those as needed. This is your journey and believe that therapy is a process of collaboration, and it is a necessity for you to feel safe, heard and accepted.
