Silvia Alves Nishioka received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, where she also received her Masters in Clinical Psychology. As a psychologist in Brazil, Silvia worked with clients experiencing various stressors including chronic medical conditions, behavioral and emotional dysregulation, and academic difficulties. Since moving to the U.S., Silvia has worked with children, adolescents, and adults to address depression, anxiety, and behavioral issues using a variety of approaches that meet clients' unique needs and preferences.
