Welcome to HeartMatters NYC Counseling, a multicultural, faith-based counseling practice in the heart of Manhattan. I am Sobeyda Valle-Ellis, LCSW, Director & founder, and I am delighted to come alongside you when life gets hard so you don't have to walk alone. It is my privilege to offer a therapeutic home to those who live as Third Culture individuals and/or experience the struggle and isolation from being the "first" in their family and "only" one in their classroom, office or team. Together we work to attune to the losses, name & process the pain, then explore new and better stories and ways of grace, hope and flourishing.
