Sometimes one of the hardest parts of therapy is getting started and opening up to somebody new. It’s okay — it can happen at your pace. I believe that a supportive and trusting relationship between the therapist and client is at the center of successful treatment. I lead with warmth, compassion, and curiosity. From there, we can launch into nonjudgmental exploration of the presenting problem. I aim to help deepen self-understanding, challenge patterns of behavior, and promote inner healing. I am understanding and compassionate, and I may even make you laugh. I’ve worked as a therapist in high schools, university counseling, mental health clinics, and private practice. My style is eclectic; I draw from elements of relational, CBT, DBT, and somatic therapies. I work collaboratively with my clients to explore past experiences and relationships that have shaped each individual with focus on coping and healing.
