About

I am a Chinese-American adoptee who grew up in Grand Junction, CO. My childhood memories consist of playing imaginative games with my sisters and close friends. In my youth, I was an active member in choir, performed in musicals, and focused on my dream of being a ballerina. When I was 18, I decided to move across the country and attend Goucher College in Baltimore, MD where I obtained my BA in Psychology and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. Between my undergraduate and graduate education, I moved to Australia and worked as a residential counselor for displaced youth. Upon my return to the USA, I attended the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work where I obtained my MSW with a concentration in Mental Health.
