When I was little, I had big dreams but life circumstances took me on a different much harder path. My primary purpose through the 60's70's&80's was my addiction. I was widowed by 27, left with 3 children and still using. I became sober in 1987, went back to school & started in the addiction field. I discovered most chronic relapsers struggled with emotional traumas and PTSD. I founded The Refuge & 10 years later, sold it and focused on Spirit2Spirit teaching professionals how to help trauma survivors. Today, I am the Executive Director and co-Founder of the Guest House Ocala where we treat trauma and the self defeating behaviors.
