As you know, life's twists and turns can take you by surprise. Talking to a counselor may give you the perspective of what hasn't been working in the past and how you want to see your future. During sessions, together, we listen to the past but look at moving forward. Many of the issues in my office consist of those with depression, anxiety, trauma (ex. rape and abuse), and grief and loss. I take a mixed theory approach using Client Centered (Rogerian) theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory as well as Solution Focus theory.
