Healing comes from understanding where our pain originates from, peeling back layers of bandages to let our wounds breathe, and providing ourselves with compassion as we can't avoid the rough terrains of life but can always carry a first aid kit with us. Addressing root causes of our pain can be one of the most intimidating decisions we make in our lives, but also the most freeing. As we move through life, we may develop protective measures to ensure safety. These measures may be effective, yet limiting to the full human experience we deserve.
