Finding the right counselor can be overwhelming. I know this firsthand - I once found myself searching for counseling for my daughter and reading bio after bio, trying to figure out who might actually be a good fit. That experience is why I try to be as clear and direct as possible. Main points - I have over 30 years of experience. I work with adults who have experienced trauma or who are having trouble working through a variety of difficult circumstances. I also enjoy working with those who may not be in crisis but want to grow - improving communication, self-understanding, creating boundaries, emotional resilience, etc. I utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and IFS (Internal Family Systems) techniques. I have found that these evidence based modalities provide healing, insight, and nervous system regulation in a more effective and efficient way than talk therapy alone.
