Dr. Diamond has been practicing psychotherapy for 50 years and is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist. He is the author of Anger, Madness, and the Daimonic: The Psychological Genesis of Violence, Evil and Creativity (1996), and contributed chapters to Meeting the Shadow (1990), Spirituality & Psychological Health (2005), and the forthcoming APA Handbook of Humanistic & Existential Psychology (2025). Diamond's distinctive treatment approach (Existential Depth Psychology) is a fusion of psychodynamic and existential therapy, with an emphasis on C.G. Jung's analytical psychology and Rollo May's existential therapy. I have particular interest and expertise in the psychology of creativity, evil, spirituality, and anger/rage, and dealing with anxiety, depression, relationships, loss, embitterment, trauma, and various existential crises. I typically see patients once weekly; twice weekly when needed. Psychiatric referral for psychopharmacology is provided as appropriate.
