Hello. I am Stephen Boren, PsyD, a licensed psychologist in PA. I help clients to understand themselves better, i.e. when did your difficulties start; what prompted the issues you know struggle with. I am a very compassionate and down-to-earth therapist. I believe a comfortable relationship with your therapist is a major aspect of what makes for good outcomes. While my underlying theoretical approach is psychodynamic, I do not cling to any theory while doing therapy. In the first session, I ask clients what they would like to get out of therapy and make suggestions as well for areas of focus. With my client, I monitor progress.
