Like many things in life, in therapy the journey is every bit as important as the destination. An indispensable part of this journey is the relationship between client and therapist. My first priority in getting to know a new client is to work together to form an alliance that feels supportive, trusting, and empowering. In addition, I also strive to create an environment where it feels safe to say the quiet parts out loud, where you can fully express yourself without fear of judgment, and where you can begin to experience new patterns of interaction that enable you to increase satisfaction in your interpersonal relationships.
