I approach treatment as a growth opportunity for my adult patients. Therapy hinges on the rapid development of a treatment alliance and I make a special effort to help patients feel comfortable and "open up." As a psychodynamic therapist I base my treatment approach on insight and self-understanding. Knowledge is indeed power, and my patients almost always become more effective in the world and in their close relationships. My approach to treatment is depth-oriented, but also practical and challenging. I work most effectively with patients who are intelligent, active, and "in the world.
