As a trauma-informed therapist, my ideal client is someone who has experienced significant adversity, whether it's from childhood trauma, a recent life event, abusive relationships, or ongoing stressors. They may struggle with symptoms of anxiety, depression, or PTSD, often feeling disconnected from themselves or their emotions. They may have challenges trusting others, have flashbacks, forming relationships, have patterns of perfectionism or people-pleasing tendencies. These symptoms impact their daily functioning such as managing household responsibilities, maintaining work, academic responsibilities, and social connections.
