Any crisis whether it stems from relationship problems, the after effects of fighting in war, contemplating suicide, sexual/physical assault and the like can be a dark and lonely place to be in. This is especially true considering that sometimes when a person experiences a traumatic event, he/she may find unhealthy ways to cope with feelings that are too overwhelming to deal with.
