Life is not fair and can be overwhelmingly challenging. Some of us have learned this in very difficult or traumatic ways, and many of us bear the wounds and scars of broken or dysfunctional marriages, families, or abuse. No one is immune to feeling overwhelmed, alone, unloved, or rejected, having thoughts we cannot control, or being unable to stop behaviors we know hurt us and those we love. We also know deep down this is not how it is supposed to be. Those who seek help through therapy are the most courageous people I know.
