For forty years I've helped North Bay families, children and adults through my pre- and post-grad internships, my private practice and my contract with Sonoma County Child Protective Services. My style is client-centered and non-judgmental. I let my clients' stories unfold naturally, allowing them to tell them in whatever way feels safest. I'm a huge fan of common sense, realistic expectations, the importance of life as a series of experiences and "the big picture." My role is to support and guide my clients through difficult times. I encourage my clients to bring into session anything they wish to share with me: life stories, family history, creative works, photos, pets, toys, cherished items. These provide a deeper insight into my client's world and help direct the process.
