If your child has trouble managing their feelings, communicating their needs, or uses challenging behaviors, they may need help learning to express and process their feelings. Kids can develop ways of coping that seem confusing or destructive when they're neurodiverse or otherwise different, or encounter challenges like bullying, trauma, or divorce. I work from a neurodiversity-, queer-, and trans-affirming, & social-justice oriented lens, and I see it as my job to help your child use the language of play to express emotions, solve problems, & get needs met in new and healthier ways.
