I know you're more than your story, your pain, joy, social identity & experiences. As a South Asian immigrant, I proactively advocate for my clients both inside and outside the therapy room. I will show up for you if you need help involving other family or partner participants in therapy sessions. I connect a session with the next session with a journaling prompt or a big feeling exploration during the week. I also make sure I do not abruptly end sessions and take the last few minutes to do some grounding and mindfulness exercises helping clients feel less overwhelmed when they leave the therapy room.
