About
I see psychotherapy as a partnership and a process, where the client is the expert about their own life and the therapist is a guide. My emphasis is on helping clients change unhelpful behavior and thinking patterns that prevent them from building and maintaining positive and lasting relationships. The core of good therapy is based on building a relationship of trust, empathy and respect for the client. I provide an environment of safety and trust where we can explore issues, fears, concerns, and hopes. My goal is to transfer knowledge, skills and confidence so, eventually, you won’t need me! I have helped parents better understand their children and develop new parenting skills, worked with families and patients who are living with brain injury to help them cope with grief and to accept their “new normal,” and helped LGBT people, of all ages, to support and affirm their journey.
