Making the decision to seek help/enter counseling can be difficult, often with feelings of fear, overwhelm and discouragement. My approach is to first understand what drove the client to reach out for help, and then provide a comfortable space to discuss what they’d like to be different. Working together to identify treatment goals, and an approach, the client gains confidence in the process and hopefulness in a positive outcome. I provide individual, family and couple's therapy and work from a strength-based perspective and to understand the individual(s) in context of their environment, relationships, culture and experiences.
