High-achieving communities place complex pressures on children & adolescents, making anxiety an all-too-familiar issue. Anxiety often convinces children to seek constant reassurance and fear failure, which can lead to avoiding activities and taking risks. Often, this internal distress manifests as "acting out" in anger as they try to control their environments to feel safe. My therapeutic approach helps clients confront their fears and build confidence. By learning to manage and tolerate anxiety, they develop strategies to prevent their world from shrinking and empower themselves to thrive while exploring interests and friendship.
