I'm a therapist who specializes in working with teens through adults, particularly those with trauma histories, LGBTQ+ individuals, and minorities. I don't just acknowledge cultural differences - I actively study my clients' cultures and traditions to understand you in context. Because therapy isn't about applying generic solutions to unique people. My biggest frustration with therapy culture is the idea that people need to be "fixed." You're not weird, damaged, or broken - you might just need new skills to succeed. As Maya Angelou said, we can be changed by our experiences without being reduced by them.
