I am Teresa Horton, LCSW, Columbia University graduate. I discovered the field of social through my sister's chronic illness as a child. The hospital social worker who worked with my sister and family opened my eyes to the compassion that is needed in caring for and connecting to families undergoing unanticipated difficulties. As a child, I knew I wanted to help others with processing difficult life experiences.
