Hello reader, I am Kene Okeke, a Black Nigerian American Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with a master's in Somatic Body Psychotherapy. Somatic therapy explores how we as individuals encode life experiences not only in our minds but also in our bodies. A somatic therapist acts as an embodied guide and present moment anchor for you as you explore how the many aspects of your lived experiences currently affect you. If you are looking for an opportunity to look inward and outward with love, lets start our exploration. I offer clients experience based interventions such as: body-based memory recall, movement-based emotional expressions, art making, tolerance expansion, present moment attunement, resilience/resistance and talk therapy integration. These interventions, along with others, act as the tools we will use to explore the (sub)conscious relation to choice.
