About

The Meltzer Center–located at GWU near Foggy Bottom–GWU Metro–provides low-fee therapy and assessments to children, teens, and adults in the Washington, DC area. As a training clinic, services are provided by clinical psychology doctoral students under close supervision of licensed clinicians, with care tailored to each person’s needs. We provide comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for children, teen and adults. Assessment referrals may include ADHD/attention, learning differences (reading, writing, math), test anxiety, entrance testing (school admissions), and IQ/achievement (placement, giftedness). In addition to comprehensive evaluation services, we provide evidence-based therapy services to support children and teens (e.g., emotional regulation, coping skills, trauma recovery, school/home behavior, anxiety, depression, family relationships) and adults (e.g., stress and life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns).
