Many of the people I work with are carrying heavy experiences, feelings of overwhelm, ambivalence, or fear. They often are survivors of trauma, grief, or loss. Some are healers themselves, such as emergency personnel or caregivers who have given so much that they feel the weight of compassion fatigue or vicarious trauma. Others may be untangling the effects of religious trauma, coping with divorce or difficult family dynamics, or navigating questions of identity. Some just need a little extra support. At the heart of it, my clients are looking for connection, presence, self- acceptance, authenticity, and peace as they move forward. With more than a decade of experience as an emergency room nurse and experience working as a SANE nurse, I bring steadiness in crisis to my counseling. My trauma-informed, holistic approach blends Adlerian and Rogerian theories with expressive arts, mindfulness, nature-based practices, and EMDR to help you self-connect, process pain, and build resilience.
