Karl (he/his) is a National Board-Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and the District of Columbia. He earned a Master's Degree and Educational Specialist in Community Counseling from James Madison University. He has over twenty years of counseling experience in a variety of settings, including mental health clinics, private practice, community-based, and telehealth. He specializes in the areas of anxiety, depression and mood disorders, stress management, trauma, and LBTQIA+ and/or DEI-related issues. Karl’s foundation to therapy is person-centered, collaborative and strength-based. He believes change starts with developing a safe, trusting, and collaborative relationship with his clients. He prioritizes listening to and communicating understanding of clients' concerns, and having a healthy dialogue in which there is a free exchange of ideas.
