I help men in committed relationships who feel stuck between saying nothing and saying too much — and paying for it either way. Many of the men I work with describe the same pattern: “When I finally tell my wife how I feel, she'll get upset — and suddenly I’m apologizing, even though I haven’t done anything wrong.” Over time, this dynamic teaches men to shut down. Silence feels safer than honesty. Anger becomes the only emotion that gets expressed — and even that comes at a cost. When men can better describe their inner experience their relationships grow rapidly.
