I'm a masters level clinician and I've been in the field for 18 years. Substance use happens for many reasons, such as seeking relief from depression, anxiety and other stressors in our lives. We turn to substances to make us feel better or to just numb our feelings. If you've tried to make changes in the past and feel like nothing has worked, maybe you just need some guidance.
