I am Dr. Timothy Ibutu, LCPC, LCAD, RPS, NCC, a licensed therapist in Maryland (MD). I will be seeing clients virtually, including both individuals and couples. I treat clients with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, trauma, and substance use disorders. I am fluent in both English and Swahili. My counseling style is eclectic drawing from psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused approaches, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I have often been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate.
